ViewSonic plug and play monitors do not require a proprietary Windows 10 driver to be installed.

Instead, Windows 10 operating system will automatically read the EDID information stored in the monitor to identify the monitor's capabilities (support resolution and refresh rate) and install the Windows Generic PnP Monitor driver.

Windows 10 will show reference to "Generic PnP Monitor" under monitor tab and under device manager.

If you’re unable to get your monitor to work with your computer, check the following:

  • Graphics card driver can be an issue, verify you have the latest drivers for the graphic card.
  • Test a different video port

If you’re still unable to get the monitor to work or not getting all the features that are supported by the Windows PnP driver, ensure Windows is up-to-date or you can download the driver from our website:https://www.viewsonic.com/us/productresources
