Loss of screen resolution after Windows 10 update

The Latest Windows update has caused some issues with screen resolution setting being lost, we suggest the following:

Step 1: Update the Display Adapter driver from Device Manager.

  1. Press Windows key + X key when you are at desktop.
  2. Select Device Manager.
  3. Expand Display Adapter.
  4. Right on the Display Adapter and click on Update driver software.

Step 2: Please follow the below steps to change the resolution of the screen and check:

  1. Type Change screen resolution in the Search box from the desktop.
  2. Under Resolution search for the Recommended resolution and click on Apply.
  3. A windows pops up saying "Keep these display settings", then select Keep changes.

If updating the Display Adapter is unsuccessful we will roll the driver back to a previous version. 

Step 1: Update the Display Adapter driver from Device Manager.

  1. Press Windows key + X key when you are at desktop.
  2. Select Device Manager.
  3. Expand Display Adapter.
  4. Right on the Display Adapter and click on Update driver software
  5. Click Browse My Computer and click let me pick from a list of available drivers.
  6. A list of drivers will appear, choose one with a date previous to the update.
