When using Windows Media Player on a Laptop with any projector, the Media Player screen on the Laptop appears fine, but you can only see the border of the Media Player screen on the projector and the movie window itself is dark on the projector. Usually this is a problem with the ATI Rage Mobility video card.

To resolve this issue, change the Display Settings. From Windows Control Panel select Display, then select the Settings tab, click Advanced, and then select Display. Set the Projector to Primary, and the Laptop to Secondary.

Note: The Laptop Windows Media Player movie window will become dark, but the Windows media Player will now project on the Projector.
