What to do when a black border coming on the image?

Modified on Wed, 9 Jan, 2019 at 3:15 AM

If the image is not centered on the screen, do the following:

1. Check the applied resolution and refresh rate to make sure that they match the settings recommended in the user guide.
To check the resolution in Windows - right click on the Desktop, and go to Properties.

In the Properties window, click on the Settings tab and look for screen resolution.

2. Open the monitor Menu and check or uncheck the “overscan” option available.

Note: You may also experience black bars at the top and bottom of the screen, especially when watching a movie.

This is due to the format of the movie.

Not all movies are formatted in 16:9. Some are formatted wider than 16:9 which will create black bars on the top and bottom of the screen.
