When will you need to follow these steps?

When connecting to MacBook device and…

  • The touch function is not working. 
  • Inaccurate touch behavior.
  • Showing “License check failed.”

 

Purpose of these steps.

  • The diagnostic procedures try to gather as much information as possible on a failing system that will help to diagnose the problem.



 

1. Click on the top toolbar, then click A black text on a pink background

2. Go to “General”, and click A picture containing text, logo, font, design

3. Diagnostics steps show up. Follow the instructions to complete the steps. Draw the patterns (image 1 & image 2) on the touch screen monitor, then click “done.” 

*Ignore image 2 if you have a single-touch touch monitor and select Done.

*The image is only displayed on the main monitor and you trace the pattern on each touchscreen monitor and select Done.

4. Click  on the top toolbar, then click “Output Log”

5. Save the log, and you will get “updd_commander_log.txt”. Please keep this file until step 6 is finished.

6. Click on the New Support Ticket button above to submit the log files and diagnostics in a new support ticket with ViewSonic Technical Support. Please make sure to include the serial number of the device and a brief description of the issue. We will analyze the data and provide you with further information.
