How to change refresh rate?

Modified on Wed, 7 May, 2025 at 4:44 PM

Display Refresh Rate

The display refresh rate is the number of times per second a monitor updates the image on the screen, measured in Hertz (Hz). For example, a 60Hz monitor refreshes the image 60 times per second, while a 144Hz monitor does so 144 times per second.

Why Refresh Rate Matters?

  • Smoothness of Motion: Higher refresh rates result in smoother motion, especially noticeable in fast-paced activities like gaming or watching action-packed videos.
  • Reduced Motion Blur: A higher refresh rate reduces motion blur, making moving objects appear clearer and more defined.
  • Improved Responsiveness: For gamers, a higher refresh rate improves responsiveness, providing a more immersive and competitive experience.
