What's the difference between COAX OUT and AUDIO OUT on my IFP7550?

Modified on Mon, 18 Nov, 2019 at 4:42 PM

There're two audio output solutions with IFP7550.

The Audio Out line is variable and controlled by the IFP volume control where the COAX Out is fixed.

1. COAX OUT:

When connecting a coaxial cable from COAX OUT to an external amplifier, the output signal level is fixed.

With this connection, both integrated and external speakers will sound at the same time.

Users can control volume of integrated speakers by remote controller or control buttons and external speaker by amplifier.

2. AUDIO OUT:

When an audio cable is connected between AUDIO OUT and external amplifier/speakers, the integrated speaker is on Mute.

Remote control, control buttons and amplifier will be able to adjust the volume. Remote controller and control buttons can control audio out level, amplifier can increase or reduce bass on the audio level.
