Description

When connecting a laptop with an Intel Iris Xe GPU to a ViewBoard or other display via HDMI, a "no-signal" message appears on the display.  The connected pc detects the display but is unable to display an image. 


Reason(s):

This behavior can be caused by the incorrect Color Format setting of the Intel Iris Xe Graphics.

Resolution:

  1. Download the Intel Driver & Support Assistant utility to ensure all Intel drivers are up to date

  2. Download the Intel Graphics Command Center from the Microsoft Store
  3. After installation open the Intel Graphics Command Center and go to Display
  4. Select the display
  5. Go to the General tab
  6. Set Color Format to YCbCR_420
