What is vCast?
ViewSonic’s vCast is a sophisticated software solution that enables seamless wireless content sharing and collaboration. It allows users to stream content from PCs, tablets, and smartphones directly to ViewSonic displays, enhancing interactivity in both professional and educational environments.
The system operates with two key components:
- vCastSender: The host application responsible for initiating and managing the content sharing process.
- vCastReceiver: The receiver application that displays the shared content on ViewSonic devices.
This setup is ideal for creating dynamic and engaging meetings or lessons, fostering a more interactive and collaborative atmosphere.
Possible Issues:
- Receiving Network Anomaly issue on vCastSender
- Receiving a PIN Error issue on vCastSender.
- vCast session disconnects
- vCast is performing poorly - (blurry, choppy)
- vCast is not outputting audio
Required Information: Provide the following to the technical support agent.
- vCastSender Version: This can be located on the host PC.
vCastReceiver Version: On the display, open vCast and select the Information (i) icon.
eAirplay Version: On the display, open vCast, navigate to Settings (cogwheel), and select iOS Settings in the new window.
Host Operating System: The operating system of your PC.
Display’s Firmware Version: On the display, open Settings, select System, then About, and provide the Build Number.

Obtaining the vCast log files per application:
- vCastSender - Windows, iOS, macOS, ipadOS
- Open vCastSender. Tap 10 times on the highlighted area shown below.
- A folder that consists of text files will appear. Please provide all text files.
- vCastReceiver - Android, Windows (vCastPro)
- Open the Folder application.
- Navigate to vCast -> Logs.
- Please provide all text files.
- Open the Folder application.
