Preparation

  1. Download the AppSpace APK from the Account Portal. 
    • It can be found under System -> Downloads.
  2. Copy the APK to a USB drive formatted with FAT32
  3. Follow the setup instructions on the screen if the CDE30 is brand new, out of the box. Make sure that the time and date are set correctly.
  4. From the Home Page, click on Settings -> Device -> Signage Display, then scroll to the bottom and make sure Unknown Sources is checked.
  5. Connect the panel to the internet, either via Ethernet Cable or WiFi (if WiFi Module is present)
  6. Once connected to the internet, go to Settings -> System -> About -> Online System Updates, then click the Check button on Online Updates, to update the panel to the latest Firmware Version.
  7. Once the panel is updated, click the Home button on the remote control, then insert the USB drive that contains the AppSpace APK.
  8. Open the Folders App, toggle to the USB drive icon, then double-tap the APK. Follow the succeeding instructions on the screen.
  9. Once you run AppSpace, it will provide the code that can be used to enroll the device in their portal.


Setting Up AppSpace to Autorun after reboot or power failure

  1. Click the Home button on Remote to go to the Home Screen
  2. Click Settings -> Device -> Signage Display -> Custom App
  3. Click Select App then select AppSpace for Devices
  4. Click Save
  5. Click the Home button then the Menu Button (3 horizontal lines)
  6. Scroll down to Advanced and make the following setting changes:
    1. Power Save Mode 3
    2. Energy Star Off
    3. Boot On Source – Custom
    4. No Signal Standby – 0
    5. HDMI One Wire – Off
    6. Switched On State – Forced On


Setting up Auto-Reboot on the CDE30

AppSpace recommends auto-rebooting regularly. To do this on the CDE30, do the following:

  1. Click the Home button
  2. Click Settings -> Device -> System Tools
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and set an Auto Reboot schedule. Every one to three days is preferred.
