A USB firmware flash is used when the OTA (over-the-air) update is not a viable option or a complete reflash of the firmware is required.

IMPORTANT NOTES
- Data Loss Warning: This process will erase all apps, settings, and data stored on the display. Please ensure you
take necessary precautions before proceeding with the reset.
- Do Not Remove USB Drive: Do not remove the USB drive after the display boots up until the initial setup wizard
has been completed.
- Requesting Firmware Files: Full firmware files can be requested by submitting a new support ticket.

Preparation
- Format the USB Drive to FAT32: How to format a USB Drive to FAT32
- Extract Firmware Files: Extract the appropriate firmware files to the root directory of the USB drive:
- CDExx20 extract 'upgrade_8386’ to the root of the USB drive.
- Connect USB drive to the USB port identified for your ViewBoard
Upgrade Methods
Debug Menu Upgrade:
- Turn on the ViewBoard.
- Using the remote control, press INPUT 9 9 1 to open the Factory Debug Menu.
- Select Upgrade > Upgrade All and confirm by pressing Enter.
The power LED will flash red and green rapidly during the upgrade process. The panel will reboot to the out-of-box setup once the process is complete (approximately 4-5 minutes).
Power Key Upgrade (when there is no video or the debug menu is inaccessible):
- Start with the ViewBoard off (Solid RED Power LED).
- Press and hold the POWER button until the LED starts flashing red and green rapidly, then release.
The power LED will continue to flash red and green during the upgrade process. The panel will reboot
to the out-of-box setup once the process is complete (approximately 4-5 minutes).
