OTA Firmware Update:
Executing an Over-The-Air (OTA) firmware update constitutes a differential upgrade that preserves the current configuration of the display. All parameters will be retained. This procedure is advisable for applying the most recent patch to the display model. The OTA firmware update can be obtained either through the display’s system update functionality or from the download section of the product page.
Settings -> System -> System Update
Firmware Pack Update:
Executing a firmware update using the available firmware pack files ensures that the current configuration of the display is preserved, with all parameters retained. This method is recommended for applying the latest patch to the display model. The firmware files can be obtained from the download section of the product page and applied manually.
Full Firmware Flash:
Executing a full firmware update is a critical procedure that restores the display to its factory settings and reinstalls the operating system. This update must be applied on-site using a USB drive. It is highly recommended to perform a full backup before proceeding with this step. ViewSonic’s technical support will provide the necessary instructions and files after initial troubleshooting.
