IFP41 Series Firmware Release Notes

There will be an Over-The-Air (OTA) Firmware Update on July 24, 2026, between 12:00AM and 3:00AM PDT for the product(s) listed above.

Here are the changes and improvements for this release.

Firmware Version 20260709

Accounts: Added a user avatar in the bottom-right corner of Google Launcher, providing quick access to ViewSonic account sign-in.

Accounts: VS account now supports multiple sign-in options for linking to a device user profile, including Google SSO and QR Code login.

Screen Lock: Supports Remote-PIN Unlock – users can input a PIN on their mobile device to unlock the screen via network synchronization (no account login required).

Screen Lock: Supports NFC Card Unlock in Google Launcher – users with a bound ViewSonic Profile can use registered NFC cards for instant access.

Screen Lock: Supports QR Code Unlock in Google Launcher – authenticate via the ViewSonic mobile app to unlock the device interface.

App Management: New User and Guest accounts automatically inherit the App enable/disable settings from the Owner.

Security: Added support for the Sectigo Public Server Authentication Root R46 and E46 certificates to ensure server compatibility and secure connections.

Setup Wizard: Added support for adjusting brightness and volume during the Initial Setup.

System: Added Internal Storage and RAM information display on the About page in Settings.

Annotation: Supports Write Away for instant writing upon pen contact on display; disabled when writing within the Whiteboard app to prevent interference with native tools.

Input Source: EDID information now includes the unique device serial number.

System: Supports 'Power off reminder' settings in Google Launcher.

vLauncher: vFolder now supports global search for the linked Google Drive account.

System: Added support for scheduled Auto Reboot.

Input Source: Extended the Energy saving options list to include a 2-hour option, specifying how long the IFP will automatically enter standby mode after no signal is detected on the currently selected external input.

App Management – AirSync: Fixed an issue where AirSync could not be upgraded in Google user mode

System – OTA: Fixed an issue where a scheduled OTA update configured in Manager did not trigger automatically if the device was in sleep mode under a User profile.

Security: Patched CVE-2025-48626.

External source – WPD-900: Fixed an issue where the system would incorrectly switch back to the WPD-900 (HDMI) source when changing inputs or returning to the Launcher with 'Smart USB 3.0' disabled.

Network: Fixed a Wi-Fi issue where the device could not connect to a hidden SSID.

Network: Fixed a network issue where affected panels are unable to reliably connect to the 802.1X authenticated wireless network under both WPA2-Enterprise and WPA3-Enterprise configurations.
